How do I take care of library fines/have holds released?

The Circulation Desk is where library fines are collected and holds are released. Late fees are $0.25 per item, per day. Fines can be paid by cash or check in the library or by debit/credit card at the campus cashier.  If you choose to go to the cashier, you will need to provide the library with your name, S number, phone number, and the transaction number from the cashier.

Got library fines? Good news! Throughout the year, SLCC Libraries (Redwood, South, & Jordan) will be hosting a food for fines drive!

How it works:

Bring in a can of food to the library and get $1.00 off your library fines!

A $1.50 off if you bring one of these items:

  • Peanut butter
  • Boxed meals
  • Pasta
  • Tuna fish
  • Macaroni & cheese

All food items must be non-perishable & un-opened. Food items cannot be applied towards lost items. You can donate food even if you don't have fines. All food will be donated to the Utah Food Bank.

Come in to the library today, donate, reduce your fines, and help people in need within your community!
