Banned Books Week

September 18-24, 2022

Banned Books Week began in 1982 in response to an increase in requests to challenge or ban books found in Libraries, book stores, and schools. The purpose of the week is to bring attention to the harm of censorship and bring awareness to the value of open access to information. For more information visit the American Library Association's Banned Books Week site. The chart below was adapted from their website.
