Hours of Operation

The Library's hours are subject to change in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Click here to see an updated interactive calendar for all Library location hours.

Precautions and Expectations

The SLCC libraries are open and serving patrons during the pandemic. To ensure a safe and healthy environment, the libraries are taking the following precautions:

  • Plexiglass shields have been installed at many service points.
  • Hand sanitizer stations are available near the entrances of each library.
  • Computer stations and seating have been reduced to encourage social distancing.
  • We require library patrons to meet the following expectations when coming to the library:

  • Patrons are required to observe social distancing recommendations when in the library.

  • Thank you for helping us all stay safe and enabling us to continue to serve you!



  • The Taylorsville-Redwood Markosian Library has laptops and Chromebooks available for students to check out. Supplies are limited and there may be a waitlist. For more information, call 801-957-4602.
  • Laptops and Chromebooks checkout for the semester.
  • Hotspots

  • The Taylorsville-Redwood Markosian Library has additional hotspots available for checkout. Supplies are limited and there may be a waitlist for the hotspots. For more information or to be put on the waitlist, call 801-957-4610.
  • Hotspots checkout for 28 days.
  • Webcams

  • The libraries have webcams available for students to use in the library.
  • Webcams checkout for 4 hours.
  • Services

  • The library will continue to check out books, DVDs, and other materials to patrons at all locations.
  • You can return your materials to the library by either dropping them off at the checkout desk or leaving them in one of the book drops located outside of the library buildings.
  • If you have issues or concerns about returning your items, please call 801-957-4602 for assistance.
  • The cafe at the Markosian Library will continue to sell a selection of prepackaged food items.
  • The libraries continue to offer curbside pick-up.
