Troubleshooting database connections from off campus
If you are experiencing difficulties accessing databases from off-campus that use EZproxy to log you in, please check the following:
- Only currently enrolled students, faculty and staff may access these resources from off campus due to licensing restrictions. If you are not one of the above (for example, an alumnus or a community user), you are welcome to use these resources in the library, but we cannot grant off-campus access.
- Are you typing in your username and password correctly? (It is the same as your mySLCC page or Canvas log-in). Read the mySLCC Portal FAQs and Troubleshooting article for more information about your mySLCC username and password.
- Do you have a personal firewall installed on your PC? Personal firewalls can sometimes cause problems with accessing the database. Temporarily disable the firewall and see if that allows you to connect properly.
